Gents,

I read a thread today that mentioned that the cat's get blocked from about 100,000km's

Is there a point in keeping it on the car then? I heard that removing it also improves fuel consumption?

Anyone removed their cat on the same model as mine?

Any suggestions and recommendations for work that could be over weekend would be great!

Thanks

What year is your E36 316i? cause I have a 1992 & it has no cats in it

Never mind, I checked your previous thread about the car.. its a 1997 model.

Take them out & replace with Small resonator box..

I am contemplating doing it on my E46 318i, just got to convince my dad that its necessary

Looking @ realoem.com for your car I get this:

And for my E46 with the M43 (same engine as yours):

So maybe you dont have a CAT anyway

First thing is look under the car. If you see 3 silencer boxes with the most front one smaller than the others then you have cat. But as I said earlier I dont think you do. If you do then any speedy or super quick can do the job
