Stupid question : Does the noise occur with a pulse of the self levelling , i.e. the rear end will move up and down ,even a very little ? No leaks for air to enter ? If you operate the regulating valve manually does it work in the correct direction ? may be so that if feed and return pipes are swopped it will not just be out of sync with raise/lower being reversed .
Interesting points, the feed and return are correct, I thought I had found it when I also thought of that, but alas not I can raise and lower the car manually if I move the valve. I then checked it againt the ETK, and an E32 as well. The levelling function works fine, I can adjust ride height to the milimeter.
What's interesting is as I go over bumps/ uneven road the sound comes and goes and changes as the regulating valve does it's thing, being loudest when the bypassign fluid is at maximum return to the resevoir.
Keep posting guys you are actually helping here and making me think a bit "out of the box" to use a term.
