Good morning,

I was directed here by Adi, who gave me the details on his two cars. There has been a list online for quite some time. Perhaps we can make it more complete?

This red one, it looks like European "calypso red". Is that the name used on the South African market as well?

By the way, has oneone seen or heard of a 1994 M5 3.8 LHD. I have got confirmation that such a car was delivered to South Africa. In arctic silver metallic and light grey leather.

The white one above, the grey one for sale in the western cape, and this mysterious 3.8

In the end I think we will be lucky to end up with even 40 of the original 265 made still alive.

I've been seeing a white one on MP plates running around Stellenbosch - looks very neat and still has its turbines. I'll try and leave a note on his windscreen if I see it stopped somewhere.

I have updated this list to include just those cars actually driving around and not the busted ones and ones getting "fixed" of which most have stood for many years getting their fix.

This is after two years of ownership and parts sourcing and realising that any busted E34 M5 is unlikely to ever get fixed due to insane and prohibitive costs as well as parts unavailability/discontinuation. (Except for those I KNOW for sure will run again like Adi, Nick and mine)

If I crossed your car off this list and you have suddenly inherited a fortune from an unknown relative and can now afford and are are actually going to fix it, please let me know and I will uncross it.
