And all sprayed!

While this was happening I strengthened the subframe, and then got it sandblasted and powder coated.
There are several spot which you can add a good decent bead of weld that will help keep things straight!
I'll get a pic of the reinforcing that I did.

I also picked up and e36 Evo M3 rack. Gave it a full rebuild. Cheaper than you think

Here's the rack sitting in place while I measure for rack spacers

Also picked up some M3 spindles which after a wee spin to bmw, got all parts needed and refurbished.
Sandblasted the bare spindles prior disassembly and then repainted once apart.

Will you be using vacuum assist for the brakes?
If yes where do you intent locating the brake booster.

I've been thinking about this alright.
I would definitely like power brakes this time.
My last e30 I had in Ireland. I shoehorned an s62b50 in.. I made my own pedal box and used wilwood cylinders.
Great braking but it was my trackcar so I didn't mind the heavier pedal.
For this project I want the car to feel more OEM when not on track.
My two options really is using a booster setup from e34(design my own linkage system that cuts out any unwanted deflection under pressure)
Or mount the booster behind the glovebox....the jury is still out on this subjectr:hammerhead:

Have you considered the setup from an e28 528/535
