Hi guys,

How much does a pair of new front brake discs for an E-46 cost. Mines are ruined as and need to be replaced urgently.

I paid R800 or so the other day for Ate front disks for my 318i.

Last year all 4 disks & all 8 pads cost me R2152 from Midas for Ate stuff

+-R1000 for a pair of ATE's on a 330i. I have mines on order. Will confirm the price when I get home.

For Metelli's the quote came to R1400 for front disks and pads with wear sensors.

Just got an indicative quote from Midas on ATE disks all round on my 330i. They quoted R1500 for all 4 disks. Just waiting for them to arrive.

Agents quoted me around R6k excluding vat and labour which would push it up to around R10k

Geezz... Stealers...:yuck::yuck:

This month end I am going all the way from Maputo to Johannesburg (+-500kms) to find a place to service my car (and some shopping with the lady:cry:, as well as see her brother who is friend of mine).
The local dealer here is too expensive, and takes long because every little part your car needs they have to order it from there (s.a) and have a very bad service. Last time I went there I came back with my OBC not working, only showing a temperature of -40º and not showing anything else, my windscreen water light on, airbag light on and my cd changer and lighter not working.
I had a fight with them because the boss was arguing that the car was like that when I left it, but one of his employees ended up confessing that the car was OK. Later they found out that they had unplugged something behind the speedometer, so they solved the issue about all the lights but my cd changer and lighter are not working.
So I said to myself, that´s it, I am never going there to fix a flat tire...

why dont you get the work done at Gizmos place :)

I didn´t know he does these things, in fact i have never spoken to him, I just see his posts. It would be very nice to meet and have it done by a fellow fanatic. What kind of work does he do? Everything? does he own a garage?
