driver window problems

So been having this for a while and it seems it is getting worse.
Evertime I close the windows it kind of falls forward, sometimes so bad it stops and goes back down.
Last night with my leg resting against it, the door card got pushed out as the window got stuck.
I know about the arm at the back and have moved it as far down as possible, it cured the problem for awhile bit its back.

Any advice on what I can do to fix it?

On E36 you can do an 'ever so slight adjustment' - maybe that helps (in my case it did)

On the regulator - in other words, the scissor-type mechanism that opens and closes to raise / drop the window... either it's broken one of the nylon fasteners that holds the mechanism's symmetry (and thus guides a straight vertical path), or the window's come loose from one of the holders.

Strip off the door card, and operate the window - you should see quite clearly where things are going awry... replace the nylon fastener in the joint, or cable-tie things together as a temporary fix - otherwise, replace the whole regulator unit with one from a scrapyard - or Goldwagen might have new ones, dunno.

Oh, and dependent on where it went wonky, it may have broken a little metal shaft connecting two of the arms... A pop rivet with a bit of grease afterwards will work a charm if that's the case.

Here's what it looks like:
