Drive train error

Hi

I need urgent assistance I was on My way to the Vaal with my 320I when out of nowhere Drive train error appeared.

stopped and check to see if i could see any issues .Couldn't find anything wrong :dunnoanymore:

called someone out to run a diagnostics and i was told the battery was the problem .
Replaced the battery yesterday and the car starts but wont rev over 5000RPM and then the error will appear again .

i read a post last night about the charge pipe so i decide to check it this morning and when the charge pipe was removed the car will rev up like normal even with the drive train error on .

the minute you put the pipe back it will not pick up rev .

what i also notice was the boost pipe from the turbo shrink when you rev it .

any information will be helpful this time of the year when most of the mechs are on Holiday .

This is not good, but expected because a lot of early model 4cyl turbo BMWs are not doing too well..

Yep that sounded like a turbo malfunction problem hey

If u under motorplan tell them to replace it otherwise you have to strip the turbo and get someone to check it out

What was the cause of the turbo ceasing. Why did you suspect the wastegate actuator?

My car had drive train error on Sat and its with BMW now being assessed.
