Still, nothing beats the R70000 E30 dash.

For an E30 dash? Oh that's good, well done again BMW, they will be flooding in your doors, more useless shit they have to warehouse here or Germany, the bright sparks.

Try this for size, charcoal micro filters for the M5, you need two R540ex each.

Aircon place that fixes and services my cars aircon, R 240 for both and they look exactly the same.

Paarl BMW: R700excl. That's why people look at u funny when u say u drive a beemer.

Hmmm... So the price even varies between dealerships!
I would have thought the price would at least be similar across RSA.

I'm in the market for two big ones if anybody has. PM me price plss. No specific size, but the front ones will do.

Hellas, the scrapyard here looks like they might have a couple more thats in decent nick. I will have a look for you.

Please check for me too.... as I need one on the bonnet. Disa Spares Paarl R 250, I think.... looks a bit plastic to me.

Lost my E39 standard rims centre sticker..... couldnt get the same size anywhere but at the stealers.... paid R 136 for the whole "centre hub" stickers are discontinued.

I just could not stand seeing my car without it!

Crazy how these little things can drive you up the wall.???

Another daylight robbery!!!
I lost the keys to my 2002 330Ci and could not find my spare (having moved house twice in the last 7 years). Cost of replacement is R17,000 (R400 to get out of 'park', R600 for flatbed to dealership, R8,000 for replacement key and lock set, R6,000 for breaking and replacing the steering lock and R2,000 for labour). And I was told the car insurance will pay only R2,000 towards this. What a ripoff!!

check out drivesafe.co.za you will be surprised!!!

They deliver!!

Many of my clients have their keys replaced there and therefore not claim from thier insurance as much as they should and that helps me wit negotiating better tarriffs for new klients!

I stocked up with lube and are off to SMG for some tupperware for the bumper on my E46. The plastic bits and pieces are not found in scrapyards since the are the first to break in a collision :(

Is it R540 each or for a set of two? The oem ones have activated carbon in, so they also remove volotile organic compounds from the air...

Details on your "aircon place" please?

I was struggling to get bonnet lifts for my E36 2 door-
phoned the "stealer" and got quoted R760- each. (R1520-)
got the part imported thru a company in Pretoria and paid R400- for both bonnet lifters?

guys its not just BMW. every single car manufacturer dealership is ridiculous in their pricing. From parts to labour to everything. When I was shopping around for a new car in 2007, I was thinking of getting an OPC. Visited the GM dealer, and enquired about pricing. The guy handed me the price sheet that the dealer pays for the cars from the factory by accident.

Guess what.....New OPC back then was about +-R270k. Was shocked when I saw the dealer gets it for +-R210k. That is R60k clean profit. So for those saying they not making money in this economic climate because they not selling cars etc, they are making big money just by selling the few.

P.S. LOL at the dealer guy getting owned

What should I be paying for the LAMBDA sensor on my E39 528i?

Diagnostics code 202

Currently average of 20L/110km consumption.

@ Ambrose.

Something similiar happened to me. But you must remember the R270 is inc VAT. EXC Vat it is R232 and you could get a 10k discount. So they actual only making 12K.

The issue is not car prices - it's the price of extra's, were they score and the price of parts.

guys this is clear profiteering. The competitios board was supposed to be looking into this a long time ago. but nothings been done. Toyota was fined R12 million. they make more than that every minute.

a cousin of mine works for a Toyota Stealer. his 180i Rsi Conquest fender was damaged. he paid cost + vat. Came to R190.00. toyota stealer price to the public = R1200 ex vat. WTF. Not a word of lying. this can be substatiated.

Ive just recently bought an E46. I checked with BMW for front Mats. R1000 for a set. WTF.
