Let's vote and head out.

I'm keen for a meetup after payday, since the last cash flow I saw was on the 15th December

same time i was last paid:cry:...lol......im passed the salty crack stage

I'm driving the girlfriends Ford Figo to work :bangdesk:

How does 28/ 29th Jan sound?

Who has a contact at Koeberg power station? They have a fantastic braai area just before the nature reserve, with a lapa and seating with tables etc.

So guys... just returned from my trip up Melkbos Road and I went to Koeberg Power Station as well!

Melkbos Road there are a total of 5 parking lots close to the beach of which 2 are considered suitable for 20+ cars.
Disadvantage is that there are no fixed braai places; one would have to bring either webers or skottles.
They are close to beach (about 20m) plenty parking and easy access with no further cost involved.

Koeberg Recreation Area is a no go. Thought I'd go there after Don suggested we could maybe use their braai area.
They only support ESCOM people; no private hiring possible.

However Eurina from Koeberg Conservation Department suggest we should consider driving up to the West Coast National Park at Churchhaven, pay R20 entrance fee and use their braai area then.....

What you think?

Great stuff for 29th

considering the possible Hot weather,,a place with swimming pool would be nice...

Melkbos Road
First parking spot can host 20+ cars
Red gravel about 20m to the beach; easy access

Second spot can host 50+ cars
White lime stone sand / shell sand, about 10m to the beach
Very easy to access; entrance and separate exit

I'd rather suggest spot number two for the reason that it has white sand and its bigger.
So if there are other people coming to park, there is enough space that they don't have to be close to our braais and skottels.

West Coast National Park will be out of any discussion as we would have to drive a long way on gravel roads to reach the braai area.
This will be too harmful to paint and cars :thumbdo:

Feedback appreciated

I recommend the 2nd option cos the surfers are there early. The 1st option will be full by 8am till the evening.
I lived across the road in Atlantic Beach till a year ago for about 8 years. You can see our 2 houses from the first beach parking.

I agree with Carbon...option 2 is best and 29 Jan is a perfect date for our first run.

I am not the braai type, things will get burnt...but it will be fun to braai...something different from our previous runs
