+1!!

Since I was not able to attend the Simon's Town and Worcester runs I am very keen for a meetup, especially with the weather being better these days!

I was thinking about a bring and braai, just not sure where we could do something like that.

I would gladly offer to host, but my house is rather small :)

A braai does sound like a good idea!
I could have 20 odd people at my place, have a fair sized garden - but parking by me is a bit of a nightmare.

I could always try and hijack my mates place in Durbanville. It's smaller though, but he has a nice grass patch outside that can fit 30 or so cars. Problem is, his garden will probably only hold 15 max, and he drives a Subaru ;)

Could head to a forest - although driving our cars through that terrain isn't going to be pleasant, unless they have a paved parking area.

I think you guys need to come to Somerset West. My place won't at all, but I have and idea. I'm super busy right now, but I'll see if my idea can work and then post.

Keep the suggestions coming though. :thumb:

Done a bit of Googling, these three braai spots seem pretty decent

Helderberg Farm, Somerset West
Situated in the picturesque Helderberg region, this farm not only offers picnic and braai facilities but also a host of activities for the whole family. These include gravel karts, laser shooting, strawberry picking and mountain biking.

Location: Klein Helderberg Road, Somerset West

Miller’s Point, Simon’s Town
An excellent spot for the family. Portable and gas braais are welcome, and there's also a tidal pool for the children, excellent snorkeling and a boat launching slipway.

Location: Main Road, Simon’s Town

Berg River Resort, Paarl
Situated on the banks of the Berg River, this family resort offers something for the whole family. The donkeys and goats in the animal farmyard are always a big hit with the children. Other experiences include canoeing on the river, swimming, tractor rides and volleyball.

Location: R45 Franschhoek Road

The drive to these places isn't too far, and would be pretty scenic.

I am in if its is before the 20th... Somewhere near Franshoek so the franshoek pass can form part of the route. How about up over the old N1 road (not the tunnel) Worster and then back via Franshoek. Lots of twisties...

Trafic jam 3-400m before Resort
People parking on main road already :nonono:

That is some place for off peak season

Riverside in Franschhoek is also nice, Nic_S has been, with the E30ClubSA. There is enough parking for over 20 cars if you go early enough. promotec, that place will be quieter now schools are back on and people have gone back to work ;) Will check out any of the places if you guys want, I am 15 mins drive from each (or 5 mins depending on how I drive :roflol: )
