All the pulleys are replaced. Put a new belt with a overrun pulley on alternator. Everything sounds awesome when cold. But when that heat gauge gets to normal the chirp comes back.

Can a tensioner also cause a chirp?

definitely if it's not securing the belt properly, the clutch on an aircon can also cause this.

Not the aircon. Aircon has seperate belt and when removing the belt the sound is still there.

The alternator is removed and will get a thourough check tommorow.

When the tensioner is pulled back with a spanner there is a roughness to it. Like its sticky. Will be replacing that tommorrow.

Alternator bearings are fine. The pulley has a slight wobble. Replacing that to. After that theres no pulleys to replace anymore.

So all pulleys are replaced, belts are new. And problem are still there. Could you make a video and of exactly where it's coming from?

Have you replaced your PCV valve? When the noise is there pull of the oil cap and post here the difficulty level of getting the cap of compared to normal engine off.

Traded the car and bought a e90 320i. Thanks for all the help. Not willing to spend anymore. Already spend over R17 000.
