CD Magazine Stuck in Changer

Hi,
My 6 disc shuttle appears to be stuck. The main radio consol tells me there is no magazine in the changer. It is however there. I cannot get the magazine ejected from the changer. This problem started when I changed a CD in the player from the front main consol, the CD never started playing, it went onto CD1 - but no track number or song started.
I suspect the disc is stuck either half way between the changer and the magazine or in the player.

Does any1 have a solution on how to get the magazine to eject.

Thank you

There might also be a fuse blown at the back of the changer itself. This is what happened to me.

Same thing happend to me in Tbag. I gave it a wack and it came out.

If you press eject button does you hear the wirring of the motor to eject? If you does like to be hearing this it just needs a wack. If not Fuse.

Also if you get it unstuck i read somewhere the radio software is to fast for the Changer so just slow down between cd changes .

I can like to hope it does dit help.

OK, guys...thank you I managed to get it unstuck...I noticed that a CD was stuck half way between the magazine and the changer , so I just took a paper clip and wiggled the CD left to right and eventually it reacted and returned the disc to the magazine. Working 100% again.

Thank you for all the advice.

When I bought my 320d in 2006, I asked bmw to get me the harnass for the ipod. My car was a 2000 model, and they told me it cant be done.

So after calling them incompitent, I FINALLY managed to get the parts manager to help me, and he ordered 10 ipod units. When they arived, I got mine free, as an apology for screwing me around.

Now nobody knew how to install it, so I went on youtube, and got a vid of what needs to be done, put it on a flash drive, and went back to bmw, and then the mechanic stripped the dash open to get to the back of the radio, and I installed the connector myself.

I had to do the same when I bought my 325 in 2007, but I removed the unit from the 320d, and it fitted 100% in the 325. Only thing is, you have to totally disconnect the shuttle in the boot.

If i remember correctly, the unit price now for the harnass is about R1,800, and then you still have to buy the ipod, so a better call might be the bluetooth adapter. it costs the same as the ipod adapter, but you have bluetooth connectivity.

If you like, I can call my friend, Tonie at leo Haese on monday and find out exactly what it costs. Just let me know what car, model, and VIN, so he can check. :thumb:
