Good day guys. Quick question regarding the Castrol magnatec oil. Makro has this oil on sale for R289 per 5L. It's a semi synthetic oil, would this be good for a 1992 325i e36 non vanos engine?

Lemme rephrase my question. Would that be a suitable oil to use in my engine.

Thanx in advance.

Too many opinions about oil everyone claiming to know better than the next person. In short i used in my E36 and every other E36 that i have worked on with no issues :coolShake:

I think it depends on what oil was used previously and over what mileage.

Just did my oil change today with the Castrol 10w-40. Jusso, she as smooth as can be. Somehow it feels more aggressive/tight, maybe just my imagination.
