Hey guys

What's your take on putting carbon look vinyl on the hood of my 320D?

Looking to just do the hood for now will see how it comes out

Any ideas?

exactly.....not what "MR BMW" delivered it with.

I always thought that BMW's were above the ranks of the "Boy-Racers" in their "souped-up" Golfs and Kadett's...thus I woudn't destroy the "classy" image of my BMW and do this to it.

Why not real carbon? You can see fake carbon from a mile away unfortunately. But like guys have said, its reverse-able if you dont like it.

:ty: Thanks will definitely look around

Don't want to use real carbon at the moment, first want to ensure that it will really look the part,

Have a vinyl cutter so there is just about no limit to it for me.

However the "Boy Racer" image will never surface so that won't ever happen - Romeo

But some what doubtful if it will come out right as the car is Graphite Grey.....

So still contemplating

LOL, the chipping and bubbling won't happen,

Dad has a signage company so know how to apply and maintain

And besides it takes like a minimum of 3 years to fade - chipping and bubbles excluded as that would fall away when done correctly and bubbles also evaporate after like a week if there were any

if you really doing it to see what carbon will look like then go for it and replace with cabon soon as you decide...

if you not going to get real carbon...

i would rather look at other vinyl options...

nothing says klass like a fake gold watch...

and if you are doing it to see what it would look like with real carbon, then you wont get the desired effect.
