uber,on twice in one thread:roflol:

too be honest,i wouldnt know what to do either, the question i would ask myself is how the car has been looked after since you sold it,and why is the current owner selling it?maybe its needs more work on it and is going to cost a lot, like i said tough choice.

hope you make the right one:thumbs:

Car is actually in the same condition as when I sold it back in 2006. Actually, the leather is now better.

Perfectly kept

I saw the car not so long ago.

Reason for selling. money issue

well there is your answer:rollsmile:

perfectly kept:thumbs:

now just do it

Look at the end result,
Mint restored 2002 and e39 540i Or
Mint restored 2002 and e34 M5?

Looks quite simple when you look at it like that.....sure that's not everything, only 80% of it, other 20% is Maintenance costs, but meh, that'll work itself out.

Think about it! Your painting has been done already!

What about the Lancer? :fencelook: Sell that and keep the 540i! :fencelook:

Or, save the M5 from daily use and get a Jonway motorcycle to move around!

E34 VS E39 – is a debate that we will never end!
I have both in 540I form; both the cars have different driving styles. I have to choose one and sell one, in 7 months I’m still deciding. :blab:
My E39 is a brut cruiser (been some-one’s EX Monster machine) and my E34 is more involved drive. The E39 does draw more attention, but it is LOUD! But more people want to buy the E34.
Tough choice, so I’ve loaded the E34 to my DAD while he fixes the E24 :=):
Maybe “load” the E39 to your folks or family member who loves BMWs, then you still to drive it to “charge up” the battery on Sundays.

You got some bullets for da guns? We's gota possible hit here

Jandre

Borrow mine for one weekend, I know you, trust you.

Come back and tell me how many people tried to stop you, asked about the car, offered you $$$, stared at the car like it had naked women painted all over it or something. Just to watch peoples faces light up when they realise what it is and all the thumbs up on the highway etc

The ownership of an E34 M5 has nothing to do with it's swesome ///M'ness but rather being a part of someting that leaves you at the end of the day with the understanding that there will never be any doubt you did the right thing.

And yes it will cost you money to run lots of it, but you know what this cost = buying a huyndai getz over 5 years.

This is an ovewhelming yes.

If i decide to go for it ( and it is a good possibility i will take it) then this will most probably happen in a month or two

The lancer wont go anywhere. It is too new and way to reliable. I enjoy it immensely.
So the 540 will have to go.

I have wanted a 2002 ever since i had one in the mid 90's, so it is not going anywhere either.

Just will have to take a back seat for a year or two.

Hmmm, decisions decisions.

Hey Jandre,

Having owned one I might be in a good position to be the voice of reason.

I LOOOOOOOVE A E34 M5, so much so that I'm waiting for the day Rick moves on to his next project so that I can make an offer however ........

As a daily ride I'm not so sure, the M stands for maintenance, now way you can have a polo/fiesta for the milk & bread?

Jandre. I understand too many cars can be a problem with space and finances and insurance and all that kak. But honestly... I would not sell the E39 to buy the E34 (awaiting wrath of Mafia).

I know the E34 is an iconic car, especially the M. But if you're so intent on buying it back, please please don't sell the E39  Please...

You just have to make a plan to keep both! There's no question about it. No need for debate. No need for tears. Just make a plan... Just make a plan and keep both! You have to!

Now go. Make that plan. You have work to do.......
