Honestly speaking, Sesh's make really good chows. Everything we've tried has been tops. Consistency is key! Even have mutton and samp on one day! :coolShake:

Purple Lounge sounds like a place I wouldn't tell my vrou I am going to. LOL
Haven't heard of it but willing to try.

So I am in Durban, and I have sampled the following joints and rank them accordingly.

1 - Goundens - Umbilo Road
2 - Oriental - Galleria

Will try Hollywood before I leave this weekend.

There's a good take-away where Nagiah's used to be. Excellent

I was in the East Rand last week, and couldn't find an Indian food place to eat:blueCry:

Thats Suriyan, they make a good bunny...last 2 times was not so great though hope they back to normal.

Yup, Suriyans. I used to be there at least twice a week when they were new. Every time I referred someone, they were always inconsistent and then eventually became inconsistent with my food so I stopped going there almost a year and 1/2, 2 years now.

There's a new-ish place in Kyalami called Sesh's Curry or Delhi or something (I go there at least once a week but don't know the second part of the name :thumbdo:)

The make a really good mutton bunny. There's a specific menu for each day. Cauliflower with roti is also a winner. Oh, and one of Tuesday's specials is mutton and cabbage :blowheart:

Ive seen their sign as you drive into the centre, have not tried them though. Will pop in...thanks for the heads up.

Used to go to Suriyan often as well, but not after the last 2 poor chows.

Have you tried Purple Lounge in Midrand believe they pretty good?

Food is very good, my buddy owns it.

So i have been to hollywood bets (Springfield Park) this past weekend - the bunny was not up to scratch! The meat was still tough and i think they just added way to much tumeric.

This is my second time visiting this branch and being disappointed. Wont go back there again. Might try the argyle branch.

As for Johannesburg, Curry Leaf in buccleuch, really good bunny! Heavens kitchen is ok but they just add way too much chilli powder or masala(lost the plot here)

After speaking to my family in Durban and telling them about Hollywood, they now say Brittania is the best place to go.

Next time im in Durban will give Brittania a try.
