Montagu Springs? Eish, you took quite a few wrong turns then, since that's about 100km further!

The turtle group took the correct turn-off, ie. Rawsonville, as was published on the suggested route in the first post. And then had to wait for 20 minutes+ for the hares to get there, as they skipped the turn-off entirely. In truth, not sure if we could have waited at the turn-off for more people to catch up, given the usual police presence there.
Yes, given the confusion, this was not organised properly. In my opinion, during a run like this the leader of the pack should be a turtle. Everybody who aren't 100% sure of the route, should also be in that group. The hares then leave 5-10 minutes later and play catch up, thereby minimising the waiting time at the pit/regrouping spot. And yes, all the waiting gets to me. First we wait for everyone to pitch up at the beginning. Then we wait for people to get breakfast or fill up their cars. Hello, you know you're going for a long drive, so have some respect for other people's time and fill up your car beforehand. Get up a little bit earlier and be on time.
In summary, have the run clearly mapped out, eg. starting time is 09h00 for 09h30, which means we leave at 09h30. If you're not there, you'll be left behind, so you best research the route beforehand. Clear route information (google maps) during the initial discussions on the forum. Confirmation of that route when we set off. Staggered starting as suggested in previous paragraph. And most importantly, have fun.
The above is of course my own opinion. It is not aimed at anybody else. Feel free to agree or disagree with me. It might sound a bit rigid and draconian, but that's probably my German genes.
