some guys will stick around in Worcester, some might go to Ceres, some will leave early etc.

A suggestion :
a few weeks ago i drove from Somerset West to Worcester via Elgin (R43) pass Villiersdorp - it was a gorgeous drive so maybe some guys who need to end up on the N2 side going home can try that route going back.
The road takes you to not far from the foot of Sir Lowrys Pass.

With reference to the Huguenot Tunnel (main tunnel) we will not allow any reckless and negligent driving from our members and those that ignore these rules will be asked to detach themselves from the convoy and go their own way. This is a very dangerous place to have something go wrong

BUUTTT

I actually thought that we would be going the long way around where there is a separate smaller tunnel where the guys normally park and have each car drive through at high RPM to see whose car sounds the best through it.

This all depends on what the event organisers have planned. I will speak to the event organisers regarding the above as it would be nice to have a few I6s, V8s, V10s and even V12s drive through the smaller tunnel.

with regards to any thing inside the Huguenot Tunnel - i have tried by calling the guys in charge, to get someone with a camera placed inside at one of the exit doors, and this request was declined after consultation.
The tunnel has loads of cameras and sensors and will be shut down completely should anything be noticed out of place.
So it is a very sensitive issue to have any incidents inside the tunnel.

Chris is right bout the other tunnel. its very small though compared to the main one, it also leads to a very winding road down towards paarl.
Its gorgeous but you will have to slow down if any snail cars are in front of you. Very little overtaking opportunities. Fortunately though its the Western cape, so the scene will be awesome.

Besides, the typical traffic and noise inside the Huguenot Tunnel, not worth even blipping the throttle. I prefer the long way around too, but doubt I will do any runs through the smaller tunnel - not a fan of the corrugations on the road surface in there, sound is great though! :rollsmile:

Just to clarify, are we going through the "boring" Huguenot Tunnel or rather through the old tunnel (the more scenic drive as well)? There are a few nice places along the way to stop for pics too, and of course the tunnel itself.
