What about a picnic? This means everyone tastes are catered for and we don't have to wait around for someone to serve 60 people. I am sure we could find a nice grass spot and sit around eating packed lunches while we admire the cars?

That's another good idea.

I recommended the braaiing, for everyone to be catered for

If we doing the Montagu run, I did research now to find exactly where on the R62 is Ronnies Sex Shop, for those of you that suggested we visit him, and the routes we can take. He’s past Montagu. Its about 260km’s to his shop from McD’s via N1 and Montagu. This will make our run at least 520km’s, instead of minimum 340km’s.
Its not worth going that far for a day trip. It’s like driving from Ladysmith to Durban to visit the beach for an hour.

We’ll go to Montagu for lunch, via the N1 (170km’s), and back either same route or via the Tradou Pass. The Pass is about 310km’s trip back home from Montagu http://goo.gl/maps/gNYkz.

The 2 trip options for Montagu are:
340km’s: N1 both ways
480km’s: N1 there, and back via Pass and N2 (add another 52km’s if you wanna do Ronnie’s)

If we do the Montagu run, you MUST please have breakfast at home or McD’s, or pack a padkos. Otherwise you gonna starve till we get to Montagu for lunch

…………………..
We should do a long weekend away event. Then we can do things like Ronnies, Knysna Hill Climb/Oyster festival, Bungy jumping, etc.

Oh shit...yes, I forgot that Ronnie's is past Montagu! That'll be too far on the day for that definitely. I vote for your Option 2 then.

I've updated the Thread with the routes that we will take, to the destination that has the highest vote.
The estimated km's per route is from McD's to the destination and back to McD's.

Please also note that Montagu has 2 routes. The 1 route includes a scenic mountain pass
