Hey guys
So its about time I started this thread

So just to give the run down, the car is a BMW 135i N55 DCT and the vehicle is stock standard from a performance view. I am yet to dyno her, but she is running lekker!

The first "mod" I added was a Parrot mkii9200 which works nicely with the BMW system and the steering controls.http://www.smac.co.za/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=73

The second mod was to add some Plastidip to the equation which turned out better than I expected. Now instead of pictures I have made a progress movie on youtube as my car stands to date. I have a carbon fibre diffusser which is currently being shipped and in the future I want to install the BMW power pack and possibly an Akrapovic exhaust.

Here is the movie (Includes some exhaust notes), let me know what you think, I plan on doing a few others. Enjoy

If I had 1M mags then I would leave them as is. but I was not enjoying the stock look of the w spoke mags on my car. I was going to do gloss black but decided to try the plastidip and although I am traditionally not a fan of the matte black, you cant see dirt or brake dust on the matte. I added the silver flakes to mix it up slightly which gives it a unique finish almost like a satin/ kevlar sort of look.
Here is a picture, not the clearest but shows how the silver flakes react to the light at certain angles, this is after driving arounf for 3 days so its not "clean"

Here is another when clean.

Thanks dude, badges are super easy and can be done with little effort. You can do matte/ satin and with enough of the clear, gloss black or you can do something like mine and get the solar system/ stars effect with using a slight dusting of the silver/gold metalizer. As soon as the diffuser arrives I will contact you, its ordered through project shift/ Steven/Burgy.

Believe me, the 1M wheels is a real PITA to clean. I just think those calipers stand out more with the silver wheels. Like on my e46 325i. They look cool with the silver flakes though. :thumb:

Haha thanks, it really turned out better than I expected and as this was my first time using plastidip, the next time I use it it will turn out even better:rollsmile: I wanted a unique finish, and I think I have done that.

Just wash the wheels more often, that's what I do. I sometimes wash my wheels at 05:00 in the morning before I go to work.:fencelook:
