Braking System Warning

This morning I heard the gong and some warning was triggered: "Braking System, Continue journey at moderate speed, brake pads need to be replaced, have brake pads checked by service".
Stopped at Tyremart Menlyn, took off the 4 tyres and they saw the one rear sensor 'not set properly'. Warning still persists. My pads are fine, what I think what happened is that the sensor got damaged, false triggered. If i buy new sensors from Goldwagen, and have that fitted, will the warning be gone? I am 100% sure there is nothing wrong, but obviously the stealers want me to book the car in. It's on 156 000 km.

There is a sensor on the right back or left front.
It's possible for one sensor to go and trigger the entire front and rear warnings.

Once the sensor has been replaced, you will need to clear the faults, either via diagnostics tools or via the dash controls

I'm assuming the sensor is shot but before replacing, the sensor, try reset via the cluster (YouTube this if you don't know how).

If that does not work, plug in an OBD2 scanner (whatever it's called) and reset it via there. I had trouble resetting mine and then realized that the handbrake had to be "up" before doing so.

Edit: Can't remember if handbrake needs to be "up" or "down" but you can try either.

Will do it tomorrow morning, the reset I normally perform from the dash is where you reset the mileage, my mileage still shows 24 000, so I have low hope of this working. Anybody know of any tyre places in Menlyn/PTA East that will do the OBD reset?

You still need to reset it after replacing the sensors.. My E series wasn't so finicky iirc

They have just replaced the rear sensor, and the warning lights are still on.
I have to re-iterate this is not the normal warning for brake pad wear that you reset the mileage in the cluster.
It will at least require an OBD2 'reset', so if there's anyone more or less in the PTA region willing to assist, I'll appreciate it.
My pads are fine, so I feel comfortable driving fast, but it's annoying as hell, and to explain to anyone that happens to be in the car....

FINAL UPDATE

Took it to BMW, they said I should replace the front sensor, git it from Goldwagen, fitted, problem solved.
I still assume it was those terrible roads that caused some excessive vibrations.
