Cois, I have used Bilsteins from BEMOW's in the past. I suggest you change them around 50% life to avoid inferior performance and uneven wear.

Unless if these from Goldwagon are better quality.

The ones I had wore so unevenly my sensor did not go off but they were scoring my discs on the corners :argh:

that tool looks great
any idea on price otherwise will search
Midas sells something similar, but looks better quality wise. Used one last week when helping a friend change his discs and pads on his Merc. The screwdriver between the disc and old pad trick is a lot quicker though.

i will pop into Midas and check em out.

how do you get the screwdriver between the pad and disc without damaging the disc?

With great care, I wedge it between the disc and pad with the screw driver pressing against the pad and on the edge of the disc.

Thabo's not allowed to give discounts any more. He gave really good discounts at one point.
Now he can only give you parts at list. Jannie gave me 15% discount on the 135i pads on Monday and 15% on the BMW Performance discs.

The 325i usually gets the Ate pads (OEM) and has Ate calipers. They are really good considering the size of the disc and pads. Other models will probably have different OEM pads. Will see when I collect the pads for the big 6 pot calipers. I have a suspicion they might be Brembo pads considering the list price.:dropjaw:

I've used Bendix before, but find that the Ate pads from BMW have a better initial bite. The Bendix pads need some heat before they bite properly. I am a spirited driver and my pads only last about 20k-25k km's. I always ask the parts salesman for discount. If you don't ask, they will not give you any discount. I have one specific parts salesman I deal with at Auto Bavaria, Jannie.

i also get stuff from there. Thabo from the front desk. Will ask Jannie for a discount :) i need rear pads.

Ok so it's actually not Brembo pads, but Jurid. It's from the Bendix stable according to a quick google search.
Here's some pics of the 135i pads.
