• Chemical Guys Pro Cut 2 on a Heavy Cut Hex Pad
• Pro Polish
• Ultimate Compound

I'd be curious to know how many microns you're removing?!

Wow! I never knew such a service was offered in SA.

Do you ever do jobs in Gauteng or have a branch or partner up here?

Can you recommend someone with the same work ethic and attention to detail that offers services like this in Joburg/Pretoria?

Is there anyone else that cant see the pics or is it only me?

I only see a pic of your MK4 golf....

Same here, can only see the Golf 4

:argh:

Sorry, maybe a silly question: Can over-buffing, polishing etc, leave the paint layer thinner? Before anyone jumps on me - I am not saying its the case in this post, but just in general.

I have swirl marks on my Montego Blue.

Yeah, mobile image are quite a bit more expensive... do you, lambchop and onyx work there, or do you offer a similar service personally?

How do all of these processes/companies compare to places like Carty Convenience? They "claim" to offer a comprehensive full day valet service, but I have no idea what the details boil down to.

Sorry for the thread hijack!

** Appologies for the Hijack **
Hi

No, we all independent detailers and dont work for companies or under other names

and yes I do offer detailing services in Gauteng

Im also going to throw the cat amongst the pigeons here
You guys using Mike in CPT are getting the work for next to nothin. Infact its daylight robbery
That's the main reason why Mobile Image seems so expensive is that everybody else charged the bare minimum

TBH I wouldnt even get out of bed for a 2day R1200 detail

So big up to you Mike !!!!

Legacy, Onyx and Lambchop where are you based I would really like to come and learn.:fencelook:

So far I've done a Mazda 5 (family)and Ford Everest (friend) they come out very nice but very nice isn't good enough for me.

I would really like to pursue this as a weekend sideline. Its something I really enjoy doing. And would love to learn as much as possible.

Sorry for the thread jack:sorry:

Hi Guys

To be fair, I have no idea how much clear-coat that is removing and I am actually researching PTG as we speak as I feel it will allow me to be more professional and give me better piece of mind too.

With regards to Hi-Jacks and Pricing:

First off, my section here is not all about me and my services. Detailing is not limited to Definitive Detailing & Valet it is for anyone so all hi-jacks, references to other companies etc is completely welcome in my threads, section and in real life. Please feel welcome to go off course as much as you like. :=):

Many people are hesitant to pay the charge I currently ask for my services. As a 21 year old, paying off a car, rent and more I have to take whatever work comes my way as I have no support system in terms of income. I refuse to allow other people to pay and this includes my parents.

Because of this I have found a balance between making enough to survive and keeping my clients coming.

I have a post that is a few weeks in the making which I hope to get up soon with an insight into Definitive Detailing & Valet and the plans and ambitions I have for my company. This is about a lot more than just detailing and at present I see no reason or point really in charging and tarnishing the awesome industry that is detailing by overcharging.

The Cape town guys are truly getting a bargain though.

I would rather have the business than scare my customers away before they have even seen the work I do.

Sounds like a plan I'll pm you soon. I've recently got a shield DA polisher. I'm planing to do my moms Subaru for her this weekend. But I'll post pics of the Mazda I did.
