BMW X5 Pickup - Rendering

Rendering artists Theophilus Chin used his magic mouse and design skills to draw out the X5 GranLastwagen, which simply means “Gran Truck” in German.

Now the following question arises: would you be interested in a vehicle of this type? Could the X5 truck compete with some of its American-built counterparts?

i am mot really sure where BMW are getting there ideas from but i think i'm not alone in saying this but , i really don't like this pick up , its a after thought , if they want to get into the market they should come with a new design. just my R0.02c.

Looks rubbish to me. For a German car company to compete with American offerings in this area on American soil, well, I don't see them making a success of that venture...

I'd do it. It's not an argument as to competing with America. What about the Ama(k)rok. BMW have run out of numbers on the cars (1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 etc and going for the 'F's' now), time to tackle a new market I say.

Though I would also opt for a different design as the X5 is not really known for it's off-road abilities and that styling might give this model a knock.

Just looks wrong.

If you want to go into a new market get a new vehicle. Dont hack a current model as if could just damage the reputation of that model.

They trying to get more market and they must be careful in the process not the bring out cars that is pointless.

No offense to anyone but the X1 was a step towards that pointless area

i think with some work it might look better, but dont think there is a gap in the market for it.

maybe if you put a 5 cylinder turbo charged volvo motor in it, it would sell
