BMW Workshops Closest to Randburg/Sandton

Hi Guys,

I have an e90 320i. She is smoking quite a bit (alot) from under the bonnet. After a quick inspection, it looks like a bit of a leak from the oil filter housing. It looks like its dropping onto the motor and then burning off.

I could DIY, but.... nah.... I don't have the time nor energy nor tools not parts contacts nor anything else...

I have moved recently (a week now) to Gauteng from Cape Town and I'm in and around the Randburg (live) and Sandton (work) areas...

I have NO idea where to take the car...
Having a look at the forums, people seem to gravitate to Tune-tech and Ross Duncan. (I'm surprised no-one seems to recommend RGM, but I suppose maybe he doesn't do this type of thing). Having a look-see at RD and TT - I seem to be smack bang in the middle, which is 27 mins drive in either direction.

Is there anything closer?
Which of the two should I try if there is nothing closer?

Thanks Guys

Cause RGM stands for Robbery Green Motorsport, he is stupid with his prices and i get the perception he is out to screw people, IMO much better people out there with less pricing and waaay better service.

That is my opinion bud.

I wouldn't go there even if was paid to.

I had a look at them too...
They seem to have quite a few negative reviews.
And I need to find a "permanent residence" for my baby...

Are they actually decent?

My car goes to Rev's Auto in Kaya Sands, very helpful guy and also a qualified BMW mech -> Vernon - 084 592 9962, you can tell him you got the number from Tyrone. From personal experience you won't go wrong.

OK,

So I called:

Duncan Ross - Fully booked until February/March, he did say I could come in for a check and quote though.
Tune-Tech - Phone rang into oblivion, I gave up
RGM - Didn't even try (thanks to Iceman12596 - and the fact that no one else gave a different testament)
Axis Engine Works - The said that they "don't really do that type of work", they do mods and work on modded cars.
Rev's Auto - Will try them today
GP Motorworks - Will try them today

Thanks for all the help guys.

NOOOOOOOO! Do not take it to GP motorworks.... ever!

There arent too many workshops that could get changing an oil filter housing wrong but I still wouldnt take it there.

Is it just me, or is this hellava far from Sandton/Randburg?

Will give them a call though - maybe I can come see them on a Saturday...

I'll also give Revs a call - is it the same Rev from the forums?
