You guys gonna love the official response ... " Those that seen my car"
" With reference to your meeting with the BMW representatives on 7 January 2013, we can confirm that there were no inconsistencies found in the paintwork and to be within specification. This further confirms that no panel work was carried out on the vechicle as there is no evidence of related repairs or panel replacement
The panel gaps was also inspected and found to be within specification and allowable tolerances, for your satisfaction we will be happy to facilitate that the panel alignment be adjusted together with investigating the wind noise, misty headlight and rear interior light LED not displaying. At this time your concern surrounding the Sport Mode setting in the I-Drive screen selection can also be investigated and addressed. " etc
Yeah. thats basically a polite letter saying "fuck you"
Each time this happens there is a silent one back at them in the loss of a sale of probably 20 cars or more that they dont know about.
At the end of the day the wheel turns and one always gets justifiably screwed by ones own arrogance even if you don't notice it.
BMW, you should have just done what was required to make one customer happy instead of arguing even if you dissagree, but what the heck, argue on and the longer you argue the more potential buyers are put off till eventually it will make a difference.
My local dealer seems much more full of slow moving stock than it ever has before.....
Is this some kind of bizarre new hybrid marketing strategy where you dissatisfy a good proportion of customers and then compensate with hardcore marketing so you can say "profits are still good, so who cares!"
Unsustainable long term I think.
BMW go back and look at who you were when I joined the brand in 1990, look at the undeniably superior cars you made and how well you supported your customers then. I used to feel like royalty going into a branch, the brand and the product blew my mind. Today going into a branch I feel like a piece of dog*&^t with the attitude I get.
I really think BMW, you are riding on a legacy and a heritage from an older era. What I knew then and what I see now are not one and the same in any way.
