Btw you can get an after market cone filter from Autostyle, i bought a BMC for my e92 325i - it makes a difference in sound (could even hear it suck in air).

And btw have you noticed how your fuel consumption improved after you removed the Catz?

Unfortunately I don't have pictures of everything as I never stayed there for the whole job because I had my son with me, but I can tell you it's very simple but takes long because the whole exhaust has to come off first, they simply take the cats out, grind it open, take out the insides then weld it back up, and there you have it , no material needed nothing they charge you for the labour and time it takes, because I got there at about something to 2 then they had to wait for the car to cool down think they started at 2 then they only finished at about something to 7 so it does take quite a while, and yes it now has that lovely e46 M raspy tone:rollsmile: loving it

If you don't mind, what did the filter set you back? I didn't really drive anywhere yet but tomorrow I will be taking a drive to Strand so will see then

the BMC filter at autostyle was R695 and the KNN was R995, i fitted the KNN this weekend, noticed the car is slightly louder, and free'er revving.
bare in mind i already have the BMW Performance back box.
consumption does seem slightly lower.

what have you done about the CAT sensors? aren't they throwing errors?

Hi

Is the rest of the exhaust still standard?

Any power difference you felt after they removed the inners?

No errors on the dash, but the diagnostics tool shows errors. on my e92 325

Damn i would prefer the K&N though!

Cool will look into the K&N filter, could you send a picture of the BMW performance back box please and also maybe post a clip of what it sounds like? They put all the sensors back the way it was and there's no errors on the ecu

Yes the rest is still factory stock but will be doing the back half of the exhaust soon because he said it won't be too beneficial to do full exhaust, I can feel slight power difference higher up in the Rev range yes

Yaseent, is it possible to post a video clip of how she sounds now with the de-cats.

That would be awesome, and you say there is a difference in the upper REV band - good or bad? Would like to hear how that 330i sounds now, seeing that I drive the same engine.
