bmw recall

Hello Guys!!

So today I got a call from Bmw to bring in my 135 for fuel pump, injectors and DME update? What the hell??

I've been very lucky and my car has never given me any problems whatsoever regarding the HPFP, now it has to go in! Big pain in the ass as my meth kit upgrade just arrived and my jB4 is pin out! So its a whole day for rutting it back to stock...

Anyone get this call???

mine was also replaced a couple of weeks ago even though the car was fine. I refused but they said it is compulsory. Anyway the software update did make the car run smoother than before, so its great and all done under MP so who are we to complain...hey. Uninstalling the main mods were a pain...but i left DPs, intercooler; oil catch can M3 braces and suspension stuff on the car...glad i had the upgrades done...:thumbs:

Hopefully they will solve this whole HPFP issue - only thing that has been putting me off these otherwise amazing motors!!

Car did run smoother but they never tell me anything about replacing injectors. my car is a N54.

Yip, they doing this on he 2008/9 models, all owners should be getting this call, or they will do the upgrade the next time the car goes in for service, my prev 08 model had this done also.

Will call you later this evening.

I am guessing three things: Boost leak at the point of the DPs...Did the exhaust company that installed the DPs double checked the joints etc...

Secondly, did you configure the speedo/tach function (1/3) on the steering wheel controls. This activates the in built JB fix when running DPs. This is easy to do like changing maps on the fly...perhaps you just forgot.

Thirdly, did you install the Stett pipes when you did the DPs? If yes, then installation of the Stett charge pipes have to be rechecked for leaks at the DVs etc...

Nothing major but someone needs to assist you with this.

When I had my last service done, they did the software upgrade and HPFP replacement... just be prepared to leave you car there overnight...

My car is 2010 model N54.

Anti-tuning? No stress! We already tuned one in CT with the new software.
The car runs much better with the new version and corresponding new software from FRC

I'll ask Thireshan on the forum to give you guys some feedback on his car with the revised software from us.

No it does not. My car got updated with latest bmw software a couple of weeks ago and the car is stronger than ever. Its a piggyback, it rides on what ever bmw does.:thumbs:

hey dude,once again thanks for the excellent customer service.

As soon as Nershen loaded the software we went for a spin,immediately i could feel the difference,the way the car delivers the power and how responsive it is,i was immediately blown away,i got more than what i bargained for:ty:,i love the way it pushes me into the seat soon as i hit the pedal but my personal favourite is the way the car lanches from the line:rollsmile:


with regards to anti-tuning,Nersh had no problem loading software for me so FRC has the solution:thumbs:

We have done at least one I know of, but the ECU has to be removed unfortunately.
