BMW Pirate parts in my car?

So the good bit is that BMW replaced the air filter for the stock standard one.
They gave me the "pirate" part, it's in my boot.

It's a K&N filter drop in replacement if my google images search is anything to go by.

Some people claim better, some people claim worse...Seeing as MP still pays for everything, I'll keep the stock one in for the while. Only another 15 000 kms to go.

I'll pull the motorplan history off the system at Cedar, those guys are super helpful.

Did you have it for the last service?
If not did they do an inspection for the MP transfer?

It is entirely possible that the previous owner dropped in the K&N filter, but they should have picked that up during the inspection.

That's just it...

MP transfer was done, so assuming it wasn't picked up at that point.
So either way, BMW was slacking somewhere...

I'm quite happy it got sorted out though.
