Which dealership did you talk to?kisho said:I have managed to get myself a number 2 slot for a bmw m2, have till the end of the week to decide if i want it. there is no allocation yet and the dealer is not sure if they getting, so number 2 slot might not mean anything but according to other dealers i spoke too they all getting 1-4 cars each. one dealer said that south africa getting 60 odd cars for this year, 190 cars total for the next 3 years.

only time will tell how many Stangs will be on SA roads in the next few years..
oh one last thing, most Lumina drivers wont be able to afford a mustang, so dont expect them to go jumping over onto the Stang. plus luminas have 4 doors so are a good family car option which i dont see the Stang being.

and its coming to SA in detuned guise, big no no for me.
If i were to buy the stang I would be worried if its gonna snap side shafts which are common on these cars. BMW M2 will be ultimate piece of mind. The stang really has to be a weekend car cause I dont see a full tank lasting very long
Either we at least the mustang will be an option for us!!!

The general reason for the choice of the Mustang on this thread, and probably throughout SA, is "it turns more heads", and I couldn't careless about grabbing people's attention and having bragging rights about owning a Mustang if you aren't truly happy with the car.
The M2 will undoubtedly be the superior driver's machine, and that's all that matters imo.
