Me says , the M2 if you buy a car for your self ,performance ,handling ,looks that appeal to you and not care that someone in traffic thinks it only a tarted up BMW coupe , the cognoscenti will know what you drive is special , the Mustang if you prefer cruising around and looking in your rear mirrors to see if the school kids on the pavement are still starring , I like that Mustang but would choose a manual Bmw for the same money.

Seen a stang in traffic today, dark grey metallic colour, was pretty excited at first having not seen one on our roads before, the more I looked at it, it became boring for some reason, maybe cos the guy didn't give it horns, might have been the 2.3l Ecoboost and he was just cruising along.

Awesome to have the Mustang finally in SA but I wouldn't hesitate for a second with my decision, M2!

Take nothing away from the M2. It is truly fantastic as a driving machine. No argument about the performance credential too over the Mustang.

For many, a V8 Mustang is an emotional decision - heart over head. Rational logic need not apply. Performance, or lack of, on paper means nothing. Either you want it or not.

Ok decision has been made and the car has been ordered, arrives end of May. Wont spoil the surprise lol, will give info and post pics when i get it. Thanks to everyone for commenting and giving your advice, highly appreciated.

its cool but its not a mustang lol do you know what i also like is the BMW 440i sport. its just a pity about the car prices in SA though as abroad its much more attractive because of price.

I'd go mustang just to be different. Everyone will be driving the M2 in my opinion, sooner or later.
