I was expecting an A45 win all the way ...I mean 4x4 and the track looked damp:clapper:

I was convinced the A45 would win especially looking at the weather. Why do these people always carry out these tests in the wet? The M2 was amazing to say the least.

Didn't expect such a small gap, like the rest mentioned, especially in the wet.
Top stuff from the M2 :chef:

That M2 is a machine, I'd still opt for the M4 , a year or two old model though.....A45 is a bit too common on the roads

I'm beginning to love the M2 a tad too much. I would take it over an M4

Got shafted by the dealer on an M2 (Bmw always does this to me on their m cars). But I def want one. Agree a45s are a tad common. And they look plain in many instances

Honestly not sure that the M2 got sufficient traction, it's off the line 1st but with little traction loses any advantage quickly as the 4wd makes a get away with little or no wheel spin.

Odds were in the Mercs favor this time, but considering the outcome the M2 did extremely well. You cannot really ask for more traction from a RWD car. Beside people should never race in wet conditions no matter what car you drive

Having driven both I'm very surprised with the result. That A45 flies off the line, however it's launch control system is incredibly temperamental and required for the demon pull off. Could explain the result but either way it's interesting!

I have heard that the Bmw launch control is an adaptive system. It can adjust to the surrounding conditions when used again. So am not sure if they did multiple runs and only recorded the best run.

If you look closely, you'll see the A45 actually pulled the M2 to its rear fender as it flew off the line, the lil M had to run it down and then ran out of road. Besides it's not like 12.6s 1/4 mile in the wet is slow?
