BMW F30 M Sport Line Question

I have an interesting question that I am hoping someone can asnwer.

I currently have a 2011 320i Exclusive which I will be saying good bye to on Wednesday. In this vehicle i currently have a little storage compartment on the right of the steering wheel which I use for my sunglasses.

I have ordered an 2014 M Sport line, and it recently came to my attention when looking at my bro-in-laws vehicle that this compartment is no longer there and he had this on his previous 320d with M Sport kit.

Any idea's if BMW made this an optional extra?

I have no idea but my msport does not have it which sucks. It was so such a good idea, i had it in my e46, it saved my wallet last time they robbed me in pinetown, you cant really see it from outside so they couldnt see it and never got to it

Just a word of advice, if you ordering a new car, sit down with the sales rep for a good while and ask him about all the extras, get him to explain each and everything.

There is so much extras now that use to be standard, like if you dont get the light package your car wont have the interior vanity lights, my SO still gives me hell for that

I think making this compartment an option is just cheap on BMW's part. I have a Sport Line and it doesn't have the compartment. Just about every vehicle I've driven recently and owned previously had either an open compartment or a lid type compartment that could close ... :argh:

It's an option on the F30's
If I'm not mistaken an remember correctly it was R2100 additional for it when we ordered.

That's rubbish!! Anything to squeeze a buck from the consumer when it was previously standard!!

Ok one more for the road. Been reading some other BMW forums regarding the 12v socket. Apparently there seems to be one under the cubby or glove box, as they put it. Anyone come across this or is it only on international spec cars

It comes standard on the 328 upwards. Same allies to these nets behind the front seats

You cant have things as standard then make them optional extras because you feel like it, its just bad practice of BMW's part, annoying to because there salesmen dont mention these small details, these days you tell them what you want then they advise xenons and pdc and what package auto manual sunroof and done

Ok so the storage package has the compartment I have been looking for :( ... Now for the second 12v socket I have found the hole cutout under the cubby in the passenger foot well. Asked the sales about adding another 12v socket and was not sure if the guys know about. Check out the pic ....

Hi gents
If I may resuscitate this thread please. My small storage compartment just below the lights switch in E90 doesn't close anymore. I think the clip has broken. Any idea where I can get this replaced or fixed cheaper than the stealers. It stays open and it's a struggle each I get in the car. Help pls.

thx in advance.
