BMW F30 M Sport Kidney Grilles

Hey folks,

I managed to kiss the back-end of a Volvo with my 2013 F30 335i M-Sport the other day..

A fair bit of repairs to do but first things first.. I need those kidney grilles replaced (what's left of them anyway).

I bought glossy black ones from cfaccessories and need someone in Durban North to replace them for me... anyone who can do the job quickly and cheaply?

Cheers

You can easily replace the grills.. Just take off the rubber seal on the front of the bonnet, use a hex screw to unscrew the pins holding the top of the bumper and then pop them loose. The new ones just clip in, however, your bumper appears to be quite damaged, sure you want to not fix that first?

I'd love to try to do it myself but I don't have any hex screwdrivers. Just moved to Durban so also not very clued up on which panelbeaters I can trust to sort out the front end properly

Anyone you'd recommend?

Insured? under motor-plan? you have to take it to an ARC .... Theres SMG , Auto Umhlanga and Supertech .

I have used them all and had excellent service from all of them especially with color matching .

Buy a set and do it yourself. Probably cheaper and will take you 15 minutes tops; and you'll still have tools after.

You don't really need any tools to get those grills off, just look where the clips are on the replacements and stick your fingers through and loosen the clips then pull them out and pop the new ones in.

Should be super easy with that convenient massive hole...

What he said.

With that hole, you don't even need to buy screw drivers. Go from the hole and work your way around the grill unclipping the clips.
Then do the other kidney from the gap from the one you just took out BEFORE putting the new black one in, otherwise you'll have to go from the top and need screw drivers.
Only when they're both out, just pop the new ones in.

Thanks both!

I was able to pop the old ones off and clip in the new ones in less than 10 minutes!

No tools required :)
