Service at BMW dealers are going for a ball of shit and no one seems to care due to to many sheep lining up to buy the cars regardless of the lack of ethics or customer service.....Club Motors Randburg can go and suck a big one.

Why would there need to be an MP transfer if he's buying it new?

Only saw this now. Sorry Skiet missing a nice vehicle but i agree there has to be a line drawn somewhere.
It looks like something is going on in the sales industry.Maybe they are not making enough profit.
It's not just this deal.My daughter is expecting end May and was looking to trade her Audi TT on a 4door car for more practicality. We had a deal at Lindsay Saker on a new Polo GTI done the Saturday, but when we went to fetch the car it was mysteriously 15000 more.Apparently they made a mistake and on principle we dropped the sale.
Following was a new Volvo v40.New vehicle R350000.00 inclusive of extra's and our trade R195000.Difference R155000.Saturday offer.
Monday an official quote gives us a difference of R178000 to pay. What's going on.
Looks like the dealers should rather be closed on Saturdays. :thumbdo:

:slow: what is going on?

So this is what they do. They structure a nice package for you and make you sign the OTP. They however, dont sign the OTP... They then take your OTP, add a few R's to it and applies for finance for the higher amount (call it + R15k). Next call you get is from the F&I to tell you congrats, your finance is approved, your installment is R10k per month. They then hope you are so excited about getting your new car that you would just sign contract (because your finance is approved and it is only R150pm more).

If you call them out on the OTP that you signed they just go :nonono: Sorry we didnt sign it, its null and void. We can only do the deal at the new price...

Sometimes I think car salesman use the job as a stepping stone to get to government...

**this is obviously not the case for all dealers**

Always check your OTP against your contract. If there are any changes made regarding your trade in's value or additional extras added then a new OTP has to be generated and sent to you. You should check your OTP against your contract before you commit. If there is anything that you are not happy with, and you cannot resolve it at the dealer then walk away!

I have purchased quite a few cars and this exactly what I do and have always done.
Figures were not adding up and when I reviewed it all I saw the big picture of the BS.

I have never had this happen to me before and I dont wish this on anyone, sorry to hear Skiet.

But this is a very deadbeat way of doing business...now you were wondering how did the deal get done so sweetly, anything thats too good, is obviously too good to be true....

I've had the "congrats your finance is approved! When are you coming to collect?" call before. "ok at what rate?" "oh I'll have to find out... ".

Why TF are you calling me then?

Then she came back with a rate and said it's x per month. I said but at that rate it should be x-R150 per month. Eventually got an actual list of stuff they added.
