hi Guys

I am looking at trading in my my Vw Scirocco for a BMW 320.

My dilemma is the following, Which would you choose in terms of resale value and value for money? I spoke to a dealer and he basically said that I should choose the m sport over the m performance as there is no extra money on them (don't know what he meant by that).

These are my options all with the sunroof, xenon and rear pdc:
1)320i
2)320i sportline at 20K more than 320i
3)320i m sport at 30K more than 320i
4)320i m performance at 60K more than 320i.

Any help or advice regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

 I had a 320i for a week and I ended up buying a 320d after a Test drive. The instant Torque is great

I wouldnt go with the sportline. Dont think you would get the 20k back.

Then choose based on what look you like. if you would ever want the BMW-aero bits go straight for the M-performance.

I personally couldnt get an F30 without the m steering wheel

I think what the dealer means that on the M Performance he cannot offer any discounts as opposed to the M sport. I had the same dillema when buying my new vehicle the 50 000 trade in assist bmw is advertising does not apply to the M Performance models. However get the Msport and you can spec it with the M Performance bits or aftermarket

The way the dealer explained it to me is if you are not trading in a car, you get the R50000 as discount on the new car.

So in essence the M-Performance kit comes as a freebee as the R50000 assistance pays for it.

I would go for the M-sport and add the M-performance bits later if you really want, this way the trade in assist R50000 covers R50000 of your extras.

+1

Have my 320d F30 Sportline for a month and love it.

Had the 320i for a day as a courtesy car while they fitted my tow bar and it was like chalk and cheese.

Would go for a lower spec 320d than a higher spec 320i...but that's me....and I am a real BMW newby.
