Hey guys, hope you can give me a few pointers as i'm a complete noob at maintaining and looking after a car.
Apologies for the long post, i have researched but i was hoping for some specific advice.
I got a BMW E90 330i 2006 model. It's the 190KW N52B30 engine if i'm not mistaken. Mileage is low under a 100k.
The exterior is Ruby Black and the interior is merino champagne (beige).
1. What maintanence should be done yearly other then anything shown on the on board computer?
2. According to what i read here an oil change should be done every 6-8000 km, is that necessary or would every 20000km be sufficient?
Should i get it changed at BMW, or where in Pretoria would be good?
3. Are engine washes necessary? If there are how often and should i learn to do it myself or is getting it done at a car wash place that offers it, sufficient?
4. For engine longevity anything else i should worry about?
5. With regard to exterior and interior maintenace:
From what research i done: No auto car washes, dont use dishwashing liquid or rough cloths and how to wash i've researched from websites i've found posted on various threads here -meguairs as well as crazydetailer.
A. Wash weekly, polish 6 monthly or once a year?
B. Any products do you guys recommend for washing.
Shield , Meguiars or Autoglym?
I've read here and via word of mouth that Meguiars are good?
Depending on your suggestions is there an all in one kit that is good for all round washing interior& exterior.
6. Anyone got any experience with a place that specialises with interior leather restoration in pretoria?
