Hey guys , I have the opportunity to purchase one of the said vehicles .

I would really appreciate if you could outline what I must look for specifically on these cars .

BMW E 30 325i
Dolphin Grey
Manual
181 000km on the clock
Very original condition , 2nd owner
Interior drivers seat needs a little help
the leather on the doors is falling slowly

What problems can I find with such a car ? It looks very good , has a little exhaust hole though . How much can I look to pay for this car ?

2nd option :

BMW E 30 325is
White
Manual
150 000km on the clock
Never yet viewed the car but will soon
Problems to find in this car by just a test drive and viewing ?

Please help , Me , my brother and my dad are building up a small collection of BMW's and we need an E30 in it . These cars will undergo full transformation back to original state .

Thanks

If the 325is needs R60k to get back to stock how much do they want for it?
As much as I love the 325is I dont understand the values that people want/are will to pay for them.

If you're going to go through the trouble of spending money to restore it properly, go for the 325iS.

Also, I'd take it straight to a place like Tunetech for a proper assessment. Shaun knows these cars very well.

Okay I will do so and with the 325i , its already in a good condition so probably just a few minor touch up's here and there , doubt it would cost more than 15k to bring her back , just the original radio is gonna be nearly impossible to find .

So 85 and you still need to spend another 60 on it? Can you find s sorted one for closer to that kinda money?

E30 radios are scattered all over ebay.

rather pay 100k for a sorted IS, parts are kuuuuk expensive and very hard to find. a normal 325i is cool but depends what they want for it. its a diy car mostly so thats cool...till you get pissed off like me and want to push it off a cliff (only because it iritates me more to drive it than pushing it)

i apologize for my vent ive had a bad day with my :argh: car.

that being said 85k is not that bad for an OKish IS these days, they go for crazy money. what needs to be fixed exactly? main thing is check, double check and then check it twice to see if its a real IS and that its not been stolen. anything dodgy AT ALL and walk away, they are being forged and stolen left right and center.

all in all if all comes right, just for a day, you will smile for a week at least:thumbs:

Well 60k to get it to absolutely mint condition , and probably another 20 to get it very close . But those other small things will bug us sooner or later .

Yikes , hope its not stolen , and going to have to check if its original once I see it , how do I tell its an original is ? By just looking at the engine bay , etc ? Also it looks better than most of the ones I've seen , if a dealer had this car pretty sure it would be selling at over R 110 000 . Hope she doesn't give us much problems , but she will be stored and used like once a week .
