The driver was old guy he and his friend is on the picture standing infront of the car.

I was like a Bmw fanatic drooling all over the car and the guy asked me if I liked the car I told him hell yeah.

Told him about the forum and about my E46 :crazylaugh: standing out side.

He hade to fill one of the holes on the engine with grease said when car went for service the plastic cover got lost and he was like crazy mad :smashScreen:

Oomps sorry mate, you got that one wrong. I ain't old I am only 61. Secondly this car never belonged to a teacher. I have had it for 3 years. Never had it displayed before. Fact remains it is rated as one of the top 5 restored 840 CI's in the world. Nothing has been left out or forgotten about. Thanks though for the compliment. We are very proud of the car and the result after restoration.

I have been the owner for the past 3 years.
Car was bought in Durban.
Has since been stripped down to body only and totally restored to original. Every bearing, bush, rubber, arms, rear carrier, shocks etc including a full respray to original spec. All too much to mention. Final cost more than a new 330D.

But where is 2 of 2?

When I took ownership there were only two on the register in the country. I understand there are now 4-5 Nationally in RSA. None restored to this level.

Nope, you got that wrong. this one has never previously been on display. I have been offered a low mileage X5 in exchange. It ain't for sale at any price.

Thats my slow down speed at traffic lights (ha, ha) actually 140 is a little lower than comfort cruising speed for the car. A real pleasure to drive. I have no regrets of the cost, time or effort to get it where it is now. Thanks for the compliment. I get loads of pleasure out of driving the car. Compliments to A.P.S. for a brilliant mechanical restoration.

Pictures does not do this car justice. You have to see it in real live.

That car was a true piece of art.

Injoy her.

Hi Meatman. Thanks for the reply. I saw the wheels and thought they looked familiar. Not many of the ci's around. Another member had the 850i also from the UK. Truly awesome cars.
