Fanatics!!!

I was thinking of spray painting my tailpipe black....anyone ever do it?
Would it not cause some heat build up or something like that?
Am I thinking too much????
Will the paint stick on....with hot air coming out of that thing???

I also thought of this but , it has to be heat treatment paint , the ones that can work under high temps .

I used satin black high heat aerosol on y exhaust boxes and they are perfect...no chipping or peeling off

Ash, lots of shops sell Spray Paint...

Go to Builders Express in Randburg, on the right at the back of the store is the spray paints.

Get any color you want (if available) in HIGH HEAT and you should be good to go.

Make sure you mask of the back end properly, the aerosol cans tend to splatter while you spray and you only notice when its too late...

I used the Rustoleum (spelling), high heat, gloss black for my exhaust box. I should actually go and see what it looks like now. Im sure its still cool...

+1!

Bought some for my Wife's car - want to clean and spray the now rusty brake hubs. Black and it resists rust and temperatures up to 1200 degrees!!!

Im going to go to a place tomorrow and ask if they can perhaps chrome those dull brushed Alluminium tailpieces that the E90's have. A smooth shiny finnish would look much better.

Just a pity the previous owner didn't keep them clean, still signs of pitting that does not want to come out - look how filthy they were when I just got the car!!
