Hi

The average annual maintenance cost on my 2013 BMW E82 120d works out to about R45K per year. (average cost over last 4 years)
The above includes tyres, but excludes fuel cost.

All work done by BMW agents only.

I think this maybe says more about BMW pricing than the actual work required on your car? What all was required? Tyres should not be much more than 10k every 4 years?

Those numbers are roughly what I have been spending on RESTORING my E39...

Ja, this is restoration level numbers? I paid way, way less than this to run my Z4M, I suspect even with fuel I'd have come under that number.

It is a Honda Amaze with a brown interior, I think cycling might be more luxurious :ROFLMAO: OK so N20 is bad? How about N46 as found in E90 and E87?
I was going to try to defend the Honda after that "POS" comment, but when I saw this response I thought better of it. Get him out of that car. hahaha.

R45k or R4.5k?
R45 000.00 per Year.

In the last year I did:

Rear Shocks + Mountings -R 8 562.12
Boot Lock - R 1 604.23
Oil Service - R 1733.96
Left Front Door Lock + Bowden Cables - R 4 353.18
Rear Brake pads + Discs + Bonnet Catch Release Cables - R 7 866.39
Brake Fluid Service + Alignment - R 2 012.07
Right Front Door Lock + Bowden Cables - R 3 737.35
Major Service Including all Filters - R 5 273.44
New EGR Valve - Old one was sticky - R 6 207.54
New Intercooler - Old one had a small leak - R 9 909.87

I am a bit OCD, if it rattles, squeaks or not working 110% it must be fixed.

That is pretty crazy, it is expensive to be OCD and pay someone else to do the work :ROFLMAO:

Sorry bud that's rough.

Most of those things could have been sorted out using agents or great quality parts at a fraction of the cost.

EGR for example could have been turned off long before it became sticky. Intercooler you could have upgraded for less.

On my F30 320d I don't think I have spent close to R45k maintaining it for the 7 years that I own it and that's using agents filters and brakes.
