Better than OEM

there is nothing wrong with being too rigid... without braces you have more flex it just adds to the metal fatigue in the body... the only downside of stiffening is weight...

Ah the poly bushes debate! Are they really that harsh on our roads?

I agree with you Ray, the E36 is tremendous! Even at this age I'm amazed by it. Lightweight, torquey, extremely well-built, timeless looks!

the poly lower control arm bushes i put on are definitely very hard compared to OEM... I dont think they too harsh, but they are dont smooth out the bumps like the oem ones do... this is also very subjective because someone else driving my car might think it feels terrible...

Yeah, its' a subjective thing, hopefully more owners who have them fitted will share their experiences with the Polys.

Slight threadjack but somewhat related, I need to replace the engine mounts on my E36 M3 and wanted to replace with OEM......the stealers want R1136 per mount but poly mounts from a supplier in the US is $150 for both. Even with shipping, the poly mounts will cost about R1400. Is it worthwhile to pay the extra cash for OEM?

i think poly will be a bit hard try pm EMI on the forum and see what brand he stocks... imcomex have an engine mount for the e36 6cyl but im not sure how it compares to the M3 ones...

strut braces are good yes... the braces will stiffen the car making the body flex less improving handling and making your car stronger so it will be less suseptable to thing like distorted shock towers... you should also look on turner motorsport to see what they have to reinforce the car... i know there is also a front subframe brace that was fitted to the Ci this will help alot to stiffen it up...

if you not getting brake fade now then just get EBC pads and run them on smooth disks... the higher friction pads will give you better stopping power... unless you have over heating issues you wont need more...

Where can I get a good strut brace for my 325 e46 in Cape town at a reasonable price
