I got this one. Connects fine to the phone, but cannot read the car ecu.

My e46 needed a software update on the DME before it would talk to bluetooth adaptors.

Eish, will try the adaptor on another vehicle to make sure its not a dud and take it from there. Will check about any updates at the next service.

Hmm, I love the torque pro app, think might give this BMWhat a try.

Downloaded BMWhat and it connected successfully.:thumbs:


Then tried Torque again which wasn't connecting, adjusted some settings and it connected :joy

Am more interested in realtime info, so will probrably give the following a try

I did a Trail test over the weekend with the latest version of BMWhat and sent it to them for a free analysis cos it had 14 error codes.

I'm thinking of buying this app cos you can now do coding. The previous versions you couldn't

I am using Launch X431 via Bluetooth on my iPad. I also have Torque which I use on my Galaxy S3. Loads more functions and options available with the Launch software.

Has anybody had any experience recoding used components that are VIN specific?

Yeah, is it worth the price and are you limited to coding a few things or as many things other coding apps/pc software can do?

Yeah worth it, don't have to plug in a laptop just to read codes. Much easier to use

For dashboard viewing of stats (temperatures, fuel flow, cost per km, torque+hp if you want to try the phone one) I find that
