Hi guys,

I bought a used 530d with idrive, without bluetooth.
VIN ends with CZ02759
What bluetooth kit would integrate the best, I don't want another screen, preferably no additional buttons.
Guy who did the insurance check reckons I should get a parrot mk 9000?

sounds about good.... is there no option to toss in the Factory Modules, adapters and exclude the screen ? basically something that will integrate with the current setup ?

We have a aftermarket kit that will intergrate with you current radio, no screens or visible signs of the kit besides a small mic. The kit would work with the multifunc buttons on your steering and allows you to play music from your phone through the bluetooth connection if you dont have AUX input for whatever reason. Takes about an hour to fit and cost is around R4000.

If you would like any extra info or to arrange fitment please feel free to pop me a PM.

PS I can check to see exactly what your car has and what would work best but your VIN is missing a digit. needs to be the last 8 - you have the last 7

Mine has a parrot 3000. It does come with a buttons/wheel thing but my car doesn't have them as theres a connector to integrate it with the steering controls. Only prob is mine needs a software update to work with android.

I have one of the parrot ones which integrates with the steering controls. But for some reason i couldn't get it to make outgoing calls through it. Haven't tried since i changed my phone though.

best for the E60 with Idrive is get the factory tcu/mulf from a scrapyard (its a standard part same accross the entire model range), bluetooth antenna and mic. That should set you back around R1500, I can do the coding for you for free if you are in joburg.

This would still not include A2DP functionality right only phoning integration?

R4500 installation included, will provide feedback if and when I pull the trigger on this.

The BMW original option would cost quite a bit since your car does not have preparation for telephone (universal or BT).
