Benchmark figures for 135i N55 with JB4?

Hi Guys!

Apologies if this has been asked and answered previously - I could not find anything.

What power can I expect with a N55 135i with JB4 (map 5)? Has anyone dyno'd their 135 before? When I was stock, my 135i made 200.2wkw and 429nm at KAR. Since getting the JB, I have not had the time to go dyno. Would just like an idea of what I should be aiming for.

Thanks!

All cars differ bud, my N55 did 222wkw and 413wnm recently stock as can be. So torque is a bit low on mine..

I would expect a JB4 to give you close to 260wkw at least, torque close to 500 would be good? Take it to the rollers and let us know!

I dont think the N55 135i will make 260wkw with JB4 maybe the newer N55 motors would. I would think with the base of 200wkw you looking at 230wkw with JB4. I hear the N54 react better to the JB4 so i would assume 230wkw would be in order for the N55 135i

What if it's an N55 135i with BMW PPK2 (Software upgrade + better cooling), and then you put JB4 on top of that? Would it be worth it?

how long is a piece of string.....

its all relative.., to the dyno, to the car, to the condition of the motor.

Have a look at the highest to lowest hp thread for an indication of where you should be shooting for...

As Sash said it is dependent on the car and weather and dyno conditions as well...

I think you would be lucky to more than 20wkw over stock in the absence of any other mods on the E82 N55 135i.

Correct me if I am wrong. Is ppk1 just a software upgrade and ppk2 software and hardware?

If so, does a JB4 installation negate the ppk1 upgrade?

Good figures nonetheless.

Lol drama. Getting worried now? 230wkw isn't going to be enough:sorry:

Tell us more. Spill them beans!

So around 230wkw with JB4 only. Thanks.

Yes, PPK2 includes better air and oil cooling.
I went to go look at a 2011 135i with PPK2, and the owner claims it did 260fkW 450Nm at Ferroli in CPT...

I'd also like to know whether JB4 negates the PPK software, or whether it will supplement it.
