good stuff  would really like some dyno graphs if possible to compare curves :)

actually will post the dyno graph here so when i redyno the car everyone can see these were with broken seals and car due for a service 201kw @6950rpm and 316nm @3950nm and of those figure what im really happy with was the smoothness of the power and the low down torque the car made power right to cut out!

yeah it was actually those 2 items that killed the price the most the valve cover gasket was R575 and the spark plugs gaskets was R300 each

recieved mine yesterday!!!:joy:

ordered all other o-rings from bmw and vanos filters ect...

doing a complete overhaul doesnt need one but thought why not

shot moranor@axis for the service dude will let everyone know how she pulls after that i made 201kw and 316nm so wil dyno the car after a service and vanos overhaul:thumbs:

Don't forget to drive the car for ~320km before the dyno. The seals need to settle. I still need to do about 200km for the seals to settle nicely.

Need to go on a loooooong drive

Yeah the valve cover gasket is the only thing that kills the price and good luck finding a aftermarket one :nonono:. This was a very expensive exercise in my case because I had to buy a new radiator as well because racing snake found some bad :yuck: patch work the PO did on the radiator.

thanks M3_e36 not to bothered about the dyno numbers as the conditions will never be the same between the two... I more interested in where the S50b32 looses power with bad seals :)

i would say you feel it the most very low down hopefully once the seals and vanos rebuild i will dyno it on the same dyno and post it again all depend how bad the seals are i guess

Had mine fitted last week by racing snake aka Shaun. After fitting them the idled like it had some wild cams. Got on the highway and cruised around at 120km/h and 70km later  the idling is smooth, fuel consumption has improved a bit and lastly the power and throttle response :joy:

The M Coupe feels like a completely different car now :inlove:

@ racing snake - The workmanship and service  :ty:

hi.

its all worth it when the customer is happy at the end of the day!

hope they dont find some other nasies when they open it up, If they do and you end up not using the kit because you import a rebuilt one...

you welcome to return it to me for a refund :) as long as they not damaged in any way...

from the sounds of things im 80% sure the kit will fix it, but you never know till its open...

So, kit in and all I can say is WOW!!!!!

My mech showed me the old seals and looked like liquid rubber, they were STUFFED!!!!! :thumbdo:

Power is there, and is there right through the rev range!!! And I am hoping it will get slightly better as they "wear in".

Thank you Sean for the great service, advice and expertise...

I would highly recommend this little preventative maintenance to anyone!!!!!

 :joy:

Guys I used SVG autoworks in Southfield CT, the guy there has gone independent from BMW and has his "master technician" and is very clued up!!!

Their work and knowledge is amazing (except that he gave me a nice list of things to start sorting out  ) Brydon was lank helpful and kept me up to date daily on progress etc.

Anyone who is interested, I would highly recommend using them. You can contact them on 021 705 4665 (Brydon is the BMW guy, and they also have a Mini guy, Robyn)

Thanks again Sean!!!

So I got the car back this morning & it’s a totally different car/feel. :inlove:
Gone is that annoying rattle & low down power is amazing. I haven’t taken it to the limit as yet cause I still need to take it easy for the next 300km for the seals to set properly.

The guys at Tune-tech were also blown away by what a massive difference these seals make to the vanos & performance of the car.
moranor@axis once again thank you
