Shaun, as far as I can make out the special tool is the modified socket...please confirm. If so, I already have this so I just need the seals and rattle repair stuff please.

the special tool for the kit you bought is different (and is a modified socket like you say)... the one in this kit is a custom made tool for the job... you can trade in the tool with the rest

@ moranor where are you based and how many percent is upfront payment?
Even though i bought a second hand working quiet vanos, htis whole kit wont hurt coz i can rebuild the scrapped one and have a lekka spare for rainy days or sell

If you did the vanos swap yourself i would swap the old unit back with the Beisan Systems kit installed :rollsmile:

The guys who ordered the the seals, have any of you fitted the new seals?? According to the procedure, if anyone didn't notice, the e39 M5 solenoid seals we used in favour of the S50B32 ones. I ordered the M5 ones and still waiting for my order to arrive from BMW.

no one has given me any feedback yet on these so i don think they fitted yet...

G&C are now my official fitters of the Vanos kits for CPT and they have all the tools... they have done a few Vanos jobs already with good results but no S50 as yet...

Had mine fitted last week by racing snake aka Shaun. After fitting them the idled like it had some wild cams. Got on the highway and cruised around at 120km/h and 70km later :rollsmile: the idling is smooth, fuel consumption has improved a bit and lastly the power and throttle response :joy:

The M Coupe feels like a completely different car now :inlove:

Its very hard to tell... I thought mine were fine before i fitted them, but there is a definite improvement in low end torque on my e46...

looking back at my old dyno graph I can see the torque curve shape was not right compared to other graphs of the same car so i guess that would be a good way to see, but there could also be other problems that could cause a similar curve :yuck:

ordered all other o-rings from bmw and vanos filters ect...

doing a complete overhaul doesnt need one but thought why not

shot moranor@axis for the service dude will let everyone know how she pulls after that i made 201kw and 316nm so wil dyno the car after a service and vanos overhaul:thumbs:
