Hey @Tivz They also quoted me about R2.7k. In the States, they extended the warranty for the PCV to 150k miles and 15 years and sent out a letter. I wonder why BMW SA is not doing the same if they haven't already. Thanks for the recommendation. I saw this a bit late after buying one from a guy who has a workshop in Roodepoort. However, the cap doesn't seem to fit super tight (an issue mentioned a few times in the reviews on Amazon). It's kind of tight, but you can pull it off with your hand if you pull a bit hard, and I broke the OEM cap when taking it off. Bummer! 1000204081.jpg

Yeah some kits have this issue. The one I have is super snug(lucked out here just bought this blind). If you're not happy with that kit you could order in the Ross racing billet cap. It's serviceable and has a little securing screw. I'm most likely going to get one or run a catch can instead. Leaning towards just the cap for now and keeping a spare pcv membrane or two.

Just a side note if you're going to run mhd stg2+ e40 map. You might need more than 40% ethanol due to crappy sa fuel. Just keep logging and adding small amounts of ethanol until your logs are clean of any timing pulls. I'm running E45 with the E40 MHD map and logs are clean. Tu pump can handle up until E50 before crashing on the rail.

Hi Guys. Sorry to hijack thread. I got a f22 m240i 2017. Im running mhd, xhp,dp,intake and recently bought a TU Pump. Upon start, I get a 11a002 pressure to low. Car is cutting out at 3k rpm. I mapped stock. Mapped mhd stage2 and stage 2 Hphp, however error remains. When I put old Gen1 pump back , car runs normally. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Pretty sure your pump variant is wrong.

You get the early B58TU / B58B30M0 pump, B58TU2 / Supra / G-series pump and then some aftermarket TU-style pumps.

They all have different rail logic (11A002 - Rail pressure too low on startup)

If you did not buy the pump new, it could also be faulty as another option.

Where did you get the TU pumps from?
The fact that the error is not there with the original pump certainly points towards the TU Pump being the issue or possibly being the incorrect pump.
I'd have to try check that part number against the one I have and that section is at the bottom so not easy to get access or a camera in.

Hi, thanks so much for your help. I bought both pre-owned, advertised online. I checked the part number and also no dimple on centure pump.i had to remove the electrical connector and turn it 180 degrees to fit so dont need harness. I tried a drive in but still no joy.

Will go back to original pump.

Yours seems to be the original BMW TU pump / Supra pump based off the part number and a quick Google.
Mine is the Bosch branded version.

Mine was a simple "plug and play" install, no changes made. I do not even have a tune on my car.
No error eithers and I have scanned my car a few times since installing the TU HPFP.

I have heard of people having TU HPFP's go bad. Also from the right place you can get a brand new TU HPFP (Bosch) for under R6k with a 24 month warranty, makes 2nd hand ones seem a lot less appealing as used they're around R4500 still.
I'd suggest getting a refund and purchasing elsewhere.
