Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque is one my favorite chill spots, apart from the 5 prayers i sometimes go through just to listen to the live recitation of the Holy Quraan and admire the stunning architecture. Went through a few nights ago and on my way out, paused for a quick picture.

Had to get the windows tinted. The sun is intense, dont need to speak about the heat, even in the 'winter'.

I went with a 50% Charcoal shade. 60% heat reduction. Lifetime warranty.
Was on a groupon deal so paid almost nothing compared to the full retail price of good quality tinting.

The big windows do give the car an airy feeling inside, but as I mentioned in my thread - we did feel overly exposed - hence me getting ours tinted on day 2 of ownership.

Its "50% Charcoal" as per the shop that tinted it. They did a Merc with 80% all around including windscreen. That, is properly dark. Looks like gloss back painted windows.

I was okay with not having the tint but after driving for a few hours in during mid day sun and traffic in the industrial area i burnt to a crisp. Thats what made me take it straight for tinting this morning. Im pleased with the look, but more importantly the comfort of being "cool" in the car... (Not that anyone can see me LOL)

If the car is registered to a female its legal to have dark tint. Im not sure of the exact limits.
The tint i have is still within the limits, i was assured by the shop.
I have seen darker tints on new cars as they go for inspection only after the 3rd year on the road. So I guess thats how they get away with it.
Windscreen full tint is illegal.
