Any members experienced this before?

Good morning one and all,

I am having a slight issue with my car ('07 E90 320D) , I have observed the following:

- Whilst driving the headlights switch themselves on as well as the brights.
- The indicators do not come on and noticed slight flickering on the cluster.

The above happens when the headlight switch is in position "0". If I move it to automatic then everything works.

The strange part is once you have switched the vehicle off and remove the key. The lights still remain on and do not go off. I am really worried about this because if there is still power running whilst car is switched off it will eventually drain my battery.

Looking forward to hearing from my fellow fanatics about this. Any suggestions and help will be appreciated.

there is a possible short in the lightswitch, or somewhere else (could be a faulty relay also) .. i would have it looked at as soon as possible, besides causing a battery drain it can also cause a fire..

This is definitely not normal.

Check wiring, looms and relays, theres most likely a short/bridge somewhere causing it.
Get it attended to ASAP before you find you car on fire.
